Ode to my Series Rover
I am a Series owner and I solemnly swear to:
•Adjust the valves every six months or 6000 miles whichever comes first
•Change MY oil and filter
•Thumb my nose at “quickie lubes”
•Never race my engine to keep up with modern traffic: 0-60 today
•Lay awake at night thinking about what that noise was I heard
•Always include something about Land Rovers in every conversation with my spouse
•Take the ribbing and cussing and screaming my spouse gives me regarding said conversation
•Never try to convince my spouse “they” need a Series Rover instead of the Honda
•Spend 30 min a week just talking to my Rover…any more and you’ll hear about it
•Keep the greasy rags out of the laundry
•Have at least two manuals devoted to my Land Rover.
