On the 20th as I was getting ready to head over the Sierras to California from Nevada: On interstate 80 -> It was a parking lot. Didn't want that.. On highway 70 -> it was just too far - Done that.. On highway 49 -> which leaves 70 at Portola and climbs over Yuba Pass at about 6500 feet - - I've never done it in the winter - - Let's try that!  |

I AM SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shoulda called in "sick" today and gone skiing instead. Was at Jay Peak all day yesterday and the snow was amazing. Today, the snow is even better!!! There is not a single person on this planet who is happier than I am. Ullr has shown his fury and given the best present I could ask for. THANK YOU ULLR!!! It is 1.41pm and just started to fizzle out. Sun is poking through. I am pleased. Time to go shovel again. Attachments:

At the moment here in Fernley the ground is bare. It's damp and supposed to get an inch or two today... We've gotten to that time of the year where it's not going to get above freezing for the next few months so snow it should be and stay for a bit...

It has just started snowing..  Really hard....  Not much yet, but looks as if it should add up to three or four inches....... ;D Temperature is 31 and ropping fast............  Pictures later..................  |

Just mushy over here Ron, that heavy wet snow/slush, which is going to be great this evening with the dropping temps. Just enough to slush the roads and get a good run-off, then the temps in the teens tonight will lock it up nice and solid!
Too bad my alternator died... maybe too much motivating it on the heads rebuild to get back into place!
