First off, blew up an engine in a client's truck-after we put a used engine in the truck. At least we know the supercharger works.
Immediately thereafter, went about putting a new ECU in a 4.4 Range Rover where the original one was damaged catastrohpically by saltwater ingress. Fire up the computer and the damned new ECU won't communicate with the immibolizer!
That evening, we get a call from our neighbor informing us that our Border Collie "attacked" her husband and got kicked for it. Can't blame him, it was in his yard-but, she was probably barking at him for him to pet her!
Went to buy an electric fence for the dogs and the woman manager at PetSmart wouldn't unlock the cabinet until I told her which one I'd want and then, she'd carry it to the cash register and I could have it after I paid for it WTF? (Comic book guy voice on) Worst customer service EVER! (comic book guy voice off). Got one at Wal-Mart, spent the entire day yesterday installing the fence-now to train them to fear it!
Today, we did finally diagnose a backfiring issue, but I spent the entire day working on a 4.4 with an SRS airbag fault that it sadly will leave with.
Sigh. I'm ready to listen to some music this evening and maybe drink some beer.
Tomorrow, MY '93 SWB off-road rig finally gets some attention!
The New Year WILL be better!
PT!

If it makes you feel any better... I "sold" an alternator to a guy last week. He put it in, didn't fix the problem. Lots of back and forth between us and then it suddenly occurred to me... and I was right, his belt was incorrectly routed. He is kicking himself. I feel bad for him haha
