I just signed up for an interesting art class at Western Nevada College: FORENSIC ART. It's being taught by a lady who does forensic drawing for the FBI and various police departments - This should be VERY INTERESTING!

I picked up the textbook, "Forensic Art and Illustration" by Taylor today.
Started browsing through it and couldn't put it down for three hours - This is going to be a really interesting class!

Sounds like an excellent class. We have quite a bit of calling for this in archaeology- lithic illustrations and such

I've always been interested in it and I've taken all of the lower division geology classes - historical geology is a close cousin to archaeology and paleontology. I've gone out and found several of the nearby (within 150 miles) paleo-indian sites. Fishbone cave is only about fifty miles from here (30 miles of it class 3 off-roading). |

My background is historical archaeology and architectural history. Sounds like honking my own horn.... I am the top-dog at Ft Bragg for cultural resources.
I truely enjoyed my time in the SW doing survey work. Theres all kinds of coool stuff there. Sounds like you have a couple of nice finds.

On the beach at Winnemucca lake I've found an obsidian point knapping spot about a mile from Fishbone Cave. I'll have to do a bit more investigating there.

I didn't go off-roading between classes yesterday due to the snow turning out to be wet, slushy, rainy mud producing stuff - - So I finished up a few class assignments. Debbie is supposed to be Debbie Reynolds in her younger days. Attachments:
