It rained all day here Saturday, then snowed all day Sunday. Prob for the best, if it kept raining we prob would have had some flooding.

How wet is Charleston, WV? We only get about 5 inches total precipitation per year here in the desert. Curious as to what yours is - - - You probaqbly get that much sometimes in a week.

We get about 44 inches of rainfall per year. The problem is when we get big storms that drop 2-3 inches of rain, with all of our mountains the water drains into the valleys, if it hits a valley just right, those creeks and rivers can flood.
Happened last year, big storm hit where I live. The creek on the other side of the hill from me flashed flooded, did a lot of damage. While the creek on my side of the hill was fine. Maybe only a mile away.
Then when the main river backs up, it backs up all the creeks and lasts a few days. When I was in high school, we had more flood days then snow days.

I assume the part of Texas you'll hit is I40 through the panhandle?

Wow... been a while. Yeah Ron, we ended up with 2 ft drifts throughout the neighborhood. But it was gone by Wednesday. Looking at the sloggy spring for the next trail run out here with the during melts starting down low.
